It was a drizzling Sinulog 2011 but, nope, this didn’t dampen a bit the infectious fever Sinulog brings about…

I was able to take a couple of photos albeit not as many as I would have hoped for, not only because of the gloomy weather but owing more to my having undergone a laser procedure a few days earlier to help correct a problem with my shooting eye.

The intermittent rain no doubt made me miss a lot of great performances by other contingents; oftentimes one would be trapped behind a throng of people seeking immediate shelter.

Here are a few highlights of the Sinulog 2011 Grand Parade taken at the main performance venue, the Cebu City Sports Complex.

No less than President Noynoy Aquino graced the affair as newly-installed Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma led Sugbuanons and the thousands of guests in celebrating the Sinulog Mass, January 16, 2011.
