Allow me to share the slideshow presentation of  Kharen Florentino & John Paul Laguilles Nuptials held October 21, 2011 at Rafael’s Farm in Babatngon, Leyte.

This event was a first for us, the documentarists, in so many ways – the prenup was a unique one; we had the shoot at Zip So. Leyte at Agas-Agas Bridge in Sogod, So. Leyte and at a river in Abuyog, Leyte. Also, it was for me the first garden wedding documentation at beautiful Rafael’s Farm in Babatngon, Leyte. The final slideshow shown here also incorporates for the first time both still photos and videos taken during the prenuptials.

Hope you like it.

The internationally-acclaimed Leyte Filipiniana-Kalipayan Dance Company, one of the best folkloric dance troupes in the Philippines today, celebrated its 50th anniversary July 1 and 2 with a series of homecoming reunion activities – giving due recognition to several honorees and, yes, dance performances by the alumni from the 60′s to the 90′s+.

Founded in 1960 by Teresita Veloso Pil as a small school project at Holy Infant College, Tacloban City, the troupe has been performing not only in the local scene but also in several dance festivals and expositions around the globe.

Showcasing the beauty and splendor of Philippine dance and music, the Leyte Filipiniana-Kalipayan Dance Company is indeed something Waray-warays and Filipinos can all be truly proud of.

The scene on Day 1 (July 01, 2011) of the troupe’s anniversary-reunion at the ARCIVU Hall, Metropolitan Cathedral, Palo, Leyte:

Lisa and Nelson were THE photographer’s perfect couple for a prenup!

Obviously fun-loving, carefree and full of zest for life, Lisa and Nelson breezed through our shoot effortlessly.

They’re a natural!

And like what the priest said during homily, “Marriage in the Philippines is forever” – I bet they’re gonna be.

As in forever forever.

Here’s the on-site slideshow we made and presented during the couple’s wedding reception…

Classic, major decision-making.

The answer here.

Simplified.

Lisa, a Taclobanon, & Nelson, a US Marine of El Salvador descent. Taken at their prenuptial February 21, 2010, Rafael’s Farm, Babatngon, Leyte.

Game over.

They got married earlier this afternoon, March 06.

For life. At Sto. Niño Church.

Congrats! :)
