  1. Hi Gerry,

Do you cater video coverage and photography for weddings? If so, can you please send me your quotation?

    Many thanks and regards,

    Rochie

  2. You do realize that the big new house in your first photo
belongs to Vilma Tan, my wife’s former classmate.

  3. Sir Gerry,

Can I use photos on your site for school work? I’m doing a paper on Tacloban City and the surrounding areas.

    Thank you!

    Sammy

  4. Dear Gerry:

I know your photo images of Leyte is very powerful to all your viewers and fans all over the world. But please also show places that are being destroyed at present because of people’s greed, and your photos could expose these wrong doings for all the world to see.

I am requesting to please check what is happening in my ancestral land of Dulag. At the back of Hill 120 and its surroundings, somebody has made an open dump site out of it. Hill 120, as you know, is like the Iwo Jima of the Philippines – this is were the first American flag was planted when the American allied forces returned back to the Philippines. To me, this is a more significant site than the Gen MacArthur site in Palo because this was the spot where they really landed first as a force not just for a general to have his photo shots for the media. Dulag, is by the Leyte Gulf where the biggest naval battle in history occurred and which can never be duplicated again because of modern warfare.

The mayor and his company is mining its coastal shores, causing mass erosion. There are people in FB like me who are very concerned about the welfare of our Iroy na Tuna. Pls, buligi gad kami! SOS ha Dulag!

  5. I really admire your photos and I am extremely jealous of you as you have gone to many places I can only dream of. I can only dream as I’m a pure-blooded Filipino born in Singapore, but my love for the Philippines is unimaginable. My mum is a from Tacloban, and I do go there every year but I never get to explore the wonders as I’m still in school. It’s amazing how I just stumbled across this website while searching for the Biri Islands on the internet. Do continue to post more amazing stuff!!! I will surely show this website to many of my friends!!!!

    • Thanks for the kinds words, Mikael. Who knows someday you would eventually have the chance to go visit all the places you’ve always dreamt of visiting! ;)

  6. i just want to ask how much your package of wedding video and photo is. tnx …

  7. hope to see you this coming fiesta of Basey again mr. gerry :)

  9. Good day po Sir Gerry! I’m Ruel, from Tanauan, Leyte. I love and it’s been my hobby taking pictures using my digicam. Now, I have a DSLR pero di ko masyadong alam gamitin. :) I’m willing to attend workshop on basic photography, post processing…. Gusto ko pong matuto… meron po ba kayong workshop para sa mga tulad kong gustong magkaroon ng wastong kaalaman sa photography? Looking forward for your reply, damo nag salamat & more power. God bless! :)

    • Hi, Ruel. Our photography club – the Camera Club of Leyte & Samar – conducts a seminar-workshop on Basic Photography (and sometimes advanced courses) from time to time. We do not have regular schedules, however, for these seminars; you would just have to be on the lookout for our PR release/posters/announcements at Facebook. Search and “Like” ‘Camera Club of Leyte & Samar’ at Facebook.
