We attended an island wedding recently at Calicoan in Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

It was quality bonding time for the family. Time to unwind and destress. And definitely an opportune time to shoot anew the island’s teeming natural resources.

The island is still unspoiled and very tranquil.

In line with the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals Fiesta Celebration, the Camera Club of Leyte & Samar and the Litratista Photography Forum have launched a photo exhibit dubbed, “The Best of Eastern Visayas” at the lobby of Leyte Park Hotel.

The photo exhibit showcases various tourist destinations, as well as the lifestyle and culture of Eastern Visayas.

On exhibit are photo works of Denver Abalos, Katrina Ruiz-Banzon, Hazel Caballero, Rommel Cabrera, Luisito Cabrera, Fr. Rey Caraballa, Roy Dolina, Adalric Dy, Orlando Uy, Nathaniel Llorono, Archie Omega, Neslon Petilla, Joey Reyna, Ludette Ruiz, Gae Samson and yours truly.

The exhibit which runs until July 2, 2010 is being presented in cooperation with the Leyte Provincial Government, the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival Foundation and the Department of Tourism Reg. Ofc. No. 8.
