UAP Area C holds
1st Assembly
The United Architects of the Philippines Area C chapter recently held its
1st Visayas-wide area assembly in Tacloban City attended by some 160
architects coming from all over the Visayas region and the national
officers from Manila.

The assembly was held February 23-24, 2008 with the theme “Making
Professional Excellence a Lifestyle of Visayan Architects.”

It was a good opportunity for local members of the association to
showcase Tacloban City and its warm hospitality.

    MY FELLOW ARCHITECTS!

    On behalf of the United Architects of the
    Philippines, the Integrated and Accredited
    Professional Organization of Architects
    (UAP-IAPOA), it is my distinct pleasure to
    extend my most cordial felicitations to the
    officers and members of UAP AREA C on
    their AREA ASSEMBLY which will be held
    from February 23-24, 2008 with the theme
    “Making Professional Excellence a Lifestyle
    of Visayan Architects”.

    Through the years, UAP AREA C has been
    in the forefront, performing its mission as a
    vital cog and component of the national
    administration. Despite its modest
    resources, it continues to play a multi-
    faceted role in supporting the national
    agenda of the UAP.

    Your mutual commitment to the
    organization and with your individual
    capabilities as exceptional leaders are the
    reason why you hold an assembly like this
    and I believe, will always be the greatest
    attributes that would bring your Area to
    continuing excellence and at the same time
    provide the entire organization the boost of
    encouragement to move on despite the
    many challenges we face especially with
    our advocacy and crusade for the full
    implementation of Republic Act No. 9266
    otherwise known as the “Architecture Act of
    2004”.

    On your ASSEMBLY, I look forward, with
    genuine enthusiasm, to collaborating with
    you to make this UAP-IAPOA an even better
    place for all stakeholders – our fellow
    professionals, our allied professionals, our
    partners in the construction industry and
    our future successors.

    In closing, I want to assure all of you that
    the national leadership of this great
    organization is fully committed to achieving
    excellence in every aspect of our mission
    and in all aspect of the profession, in
    fulfilling the plans and programs we have
    made to the UAP community and to the
    Architecture Profession!
